  • Are the people tourist friendly?

  • @StandardofPurity Absolutely. In Cambodia in general and Siem Reap specifically, we found people very friendly...and tourist friendly.

  • @umarket good to know. I am planning a tentative trip there and that is great news

  • @StandardofPurity We wrote a number of articles Siem Reap and composed some photo essays. If you go to our website Uncornered Market and search (upper right) on Siem Reap, you'll find it all. The typical touristy stuff as well as some of the more in depth exploring you can do with organizations, etc.

  • Tourist Town

  • @jimmah55555 Siem Reap is obviously run by tourism companies. But what we tried to show with this video is that there were parts of town that probably look much like they might have 10-20 years ago before the explosion in tourist infrastructure to support all the visitors to the Angkor temples.

Thailand never had been taken by any other countries. We were colonized by French. I want our people get very good education, so we can't be manipulated or controlled by foreigners.

  • England or Britain never took Thailand and nor did Japan, Thailand is one of the very few countries never to have been taken by a European power.

The Japanese did manage to use Thailand to get troops to Burma by rail ect, but Thailand was not invaded by Japan.

There are no colonial building in Thailand for the very reason that France or Britain never invaded it.
