i agree with maestro, it doesnt sound like mendelssohn. i'm in a high school full orchestra of 85 people and we're playing this song at state next week, and we most definitely put more work into than this.

I'm sorry; I love the song, but this orchestration is horrible. People need to realize that when these great composers like Mendelsshon orchestrate a song a certain way, it's because that's the way they want it to sound. These arrangments take away from the original with voiceings and harmonies that the composer left out for a reason. If that's how he wanted the song to sound, he would have written it like that in the first place.
