On SATURDAY 15th OCTOBER 2011, The Rare One comes to Bont Pavilion for a warehouse party like no other! We've secured the biggest and most varied line-up the area has ever seen -- with all our headliners appearing here for the first time.
Chart-conquering anthem-writer CALVIN HARRIS is at the top of his game. This autumn he's touring as support DJ for Rhianna -- but we've persuaded him to make an after-hours detour. With hits such as "I'm Not Alone", "Bounce" and "Feel So Close" in his arsenal, you can be assured that Calvin will rock the RAREhouse.
Representing the new guard of drum & bass producers, SUB FOCUS with MC ID will raise the roof with killer tracks such as "Could This Be Real" and "Timewarp". This set should be truly RARE.
KISSY SELL OUT's mash-up take on dance music has made his BBC Radio 1 show a favourite. The first release from his new album is called "Wild In The Warehouse"-- let's show him what that really means!
In the world of dubstep and grime, rapidly rising SKisM is something of a maverick. As a DJ, producer and Never Say Die label boss, he is - as his EP is titled -- "Down With The Kids".
THE CORRESPONDENTS gain new fans every time with their crazy live shows - which come complete with tight-fitting leotards, an on-stage treadmill and bundles of energy. Tomfoolery is guaranteed.
As an early pioneer of dance music, Acid Techno legend CHRIS LIBERATOR has seen and done it all - except The Rare One. Welcome him the only way we know how!
SLAMBOREE somehow blend a live band with a DJ and circus performers, creating a full-on experience that is not to be missed.
Tucked out of sight you'll find the Secret Disco, where you'll find die-hard partygoers grooving to twisted beats. Among the many delights are MY BAD SISTER, two bad girls who "like to rave, shave and misbehave" and CAPTAIN BLACK playing nobody-knows-what.
Other highlights include local 7-piece ska band THE RUDE 'EM OUTS, Czech DJ IM CYBER with her brand of drum & bass and Black House resident BLUNT playing dirty dubstep. Also check out the rather dapper BOUNDARY from Swing City closing the Bizarre Bar which features reggae, funk and nonsense all night long.
