VholdR Contour HD Helmet Camera takes a Paintball Hit

People always ask me if my helmet camera gets hit while I play paintball, and if it works afterwards. So I put this video together to let everyone know that yes, the camera does get hit and yes it does keep working afterwards.

The camera I use is the VholdR Contour HD camera. And I love it!

will the ContourHD camera still work if hit by an airsoft bb at 10-20 ft? If not, is there any way to fix this? some sort of cover or protector?

@ShwackerSwag I've never played airsoft so I wouldn't know personally. But I do know people have played airsoft with the Contour without problems. My guess is if the airsoft bb can't puncture your eye protection, it shouldn't go through the lens of the Contour either. Hope that helps!

How well does it hold up in close quarters combat? I flank my enemies a lot so I get hit pretty close up and in the mask sometimes. Sadly i already bought a different one. The Splat cam 2.0 pov paintball cam. I dont think it will be as good as the contour but i dont want to spend my money on something that would break if shot.

@SmurfingDestructionz The first hit in the video (one on the air ball field) was from about 20 feet away. My contour has been nailed as I've been bunkered before, and it keeps on going no problems.

is it hard to get the paint off the lens?

@Frankinater216 Not at all, If it gets hit, I usually use a paper towel with some water to clean it off. Or I've used some anti-fog spray and that seemed to work really well also.

@ShwackerSwag you can get water proof covers that may stop it or you could just get a lens replacement kit from them

Thanks for the video. I've been wanting to get a contour HD but my main concern was if it could function after being hit with a paintball. I guess your video answered it all =)
