Jeff Buckley featuring the Jazz Passengers
From the 1994 album: In Love

Lyrics:
slow birds
no breeze
iron hearts
rust in streams
long march
small crimes
soft words
whisper
it's time to come home - your eyes
to bring back - your charms
to sit real still
in my arms
clocks tick
trees pound
lions roar
on empty streets
long lists
in black and white
(s h h) red words
that read like the fourth of July
you're home
uhuh, you're home, in my arms

  • He should've done more Jazz and R and B music....amazing.

  • @bertbretherton it does )

  • Actually, it's the Jazz Passengers featuring Jeff Buckley. The song is taken from the Jazz Passengers' 1994 album "In Love."

It's a great album with a different guest vocalist on every track.

  • Great song, Jeff Buckley was the best.

  • thanks so much for this song! I couldn't find it for very long time!

    Jeff is a God.

  • yes!

  • That was absolutely beautiful, Jeff crossed all musical bounds. What a talent. RIP Jeff.

  • Well, hard to say anything except thank you so much for posting. When I was a lot younger I marvelled at Tim's range and still do. When Jeff came along, I was again lifted into a place it was a priviledge to inhabit and still is. Doesn't Jeff's voice just want you to smile in wonder?

  • Thank you !! thankyou for posting this, i had a shitty tape of this since 1998 this is sooo clear.. this was recorded at the knitting factory, and all came about because of jeffs good mates the grifters they were doing sum shows with these guys and jeff couldnt resist.. thanks big time... tim buckley used to love imitating musical instruments to. one of his faves was miles davis... and jeff knew it .. interesting.

  • This is totally different to what I listen to but I love it. Jeff was awesome!
