  • hey Dave, i see you're Rockin' that Pre-EB! im going to get a 'Ray soon and im thinking about getting either a 3-band or the Stingray Classic. do you think its worth the extra cash to get one 2-band stingray classic?

  • @ghostjs

    hey thanks! ^^

well, it's a matter of tastes. I think that a 3eq stingray doesn't sound like a 2eq stingray so you might have to try them both and choose the one you're the most comfortable with. personally, I prefer the 2eq so I would say: go with the stingray classic! :)

  • hey david, i want to start playing bass, what kind of bass do you recommend to a beginner bassist thats relatively cheap and decent quality?

  • @dude19288

hey dude! you should check out the Squier Classic Vibes series, they're a bit more expensive than the Affinity or Standard series but they're 1000 times better. There's a video made by Ed Friedland (not sure about the spelling) in which he compares the Classic Vibes series with the real 7ender basses and they sound almost as good as the real deal ;)

And if you're a fan of Pbass-es, they even made a Classic Vibes P-bass with the same colour as Pino Palladino's Pbass... looks awesome!
