Dead Sea Sinkholes from the Air, August 20, 2009

Sinkholes shot from an open window in a twin propeller four seater plane. Many of the sinkhole clusters are not reachable by foot. There is a certain type of sinkhole that looks much like cervical cancer, making one see sinkholes as cancer of the earth.
The flight travelled south from Masada to the Dead Sea Works, Neve Zohar, then returned North over Masada and along the coastline to Shanti Beach and Northwest up to the Saba Monastery (Greek Orthodox), Kidron Valley, then returned to the airfield opposite Masada. The flight was 90 minutes.
