Here's a quick bit of test footage from the Canon T2i, really like it. New videos coming out soon, subscribe if you like what you see!

  • Nice! Now let's see a video of that same climb up but doing a running/standing cat hang into it :P Seriously though, that was one of the better climb ups I've seen lately from a fellow American. I'm glad someone else decided to actually train the technique! haha The only thing I can think of for you is to try and cut down on the hesitation between the top out and bringing your feet up. Other than that, excellent!

  • @MaxwellHennasby Thanks Max. I wanted to specifically check on how my hanging climb up was doing. Pretty confident that the quality of my climbup will stay the same if I do a cat haha, but I'll have to try it to make sure! Been focusing on muscleups on bars, tree branches and all the different possibilities along with some Kong to Precisions and running precisions. Guess I could try cat leaps at this wall, every other area for cat leaps locally is off limits cause of police trouble :/

  • @djones456 The only thing about doing them from a cat is that the footwork is slightly different and you might have to tweak the technique a bit to get the same results in terms of speed and smooth-ness (I know I had to lol)...Looking forward to some new, longer videos in the near future! :)

  • @MaxwellHennasby No doubt man, more is to come once I get these comp issues out of the way. Peace! And maybe I'll come up to NYC sometime soon ;)

  • Nice man. Mine are getting there, I got climbups with no elbow/arm assist quite a while ago, but my climbups still haven't gotten this quick/smooth.

  • @codygman91 Thats what it's been like for me a few weeks/month back, decided to focus on the coordination with my feet more as practice.

This specific shot was the first take, although I was also doing rail muscleups earlier in the day so I'm sure that warmed up my technique a bit.

Yeah I shared that problem, til my camera broke anyways.

  • @Teghead Thanks! And it's only one video clip because these damn files in HD (h.264 in a .mov container) are tough on my computer, crashes after a minute or so when trying to edit with Vegas. It's going to be a couple days before I get the video converter for it.

  • But having watched it again I wouldn't agree with that anyway, looks good. Not that you can tell that much from a video of one sample...

  • Cool bruv. I think grazida might be commenting on the fact you lean quite far forward when you "top out" (bring your legs up). Making it look like you did a sort of planche and forces your legs up, instead of swinging one out while keeping t'other against the wall, to create momentum.
