How to make a muzzle flash in Pinnacle Studio 14.
Things needed: Pinnacle Studio,
a picture of a muzzle flash,
a gun sound effect,
a smoke clip (not necessarily),
Red Giant plugin Knoll Light Factory (not necessarily)
I got my smoke and muzzle flash from Corridor Digital's After Effects Muzzle Flash tutorial:

Hey dude nice tutorial! :)
I have one question.....
I did the exact same thing that you did with the smoke and the flare.
When i play it on the timeline it works, but then when i finally publish it as a mp4 or AVI file the part till the video where i shoot works but then just before the smoke works then it freezes. when i remove the smoke the flare works just fine as a published video.
Can you help me out?
I use Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate.

But I never had that problem, so unfortunately I don't know how to fix it.
The only thing I could comu up with is that maybe you didn't let Pinnacle render the video out in the timeline?
Because if you didn't there is a chance that the publishing doesn't work well either. It should be like that, but it's just one of those little Pinnacle Studio errors.

@severaleffects oh yeah! i realised that the rendering line was still green! I let it render and now it works fine! :)
