  • I once had a conversation with a Jehovah's witness about not accepting Jesus as god's son meant not getting into heaven... My response was... Soooo Ghandi & The Dalai Lama are getting condemned to hell are they? Purgatory or whatever... Come on! Get real, if there is a god like the Christian god then surely he won't be so stubborn! Makes me giggle! We are all beautiful beings of light, all equal in the eyes of the power, judge not, do love and let live. It's like missing the point totally! Love

  • George died pretty brave from what I heard. That is not always the case, is it?

  • @TwoUselessLegs It would be dumb of anybody to buy into a religion just because they like the guy's music. I'm not saying some fans don't, but that is dumb. (I liked Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder, doesn't mean I'm going to become a Scientologist.) But, you know, the guy's dead. Time to let go of hate.

  • @twouselesslegs I had forgotten all about this thread, but seem to recall we disagreed about something here some time ago. With regard to your latest comment, I'm not sure there's reason to SHOUT. Your most recent comment may have an element of truth with regard to Ringo, which almost goes without saying. But George was more than a barnacle. Here comes the sun, point in fact. George was a good soul. Paul sold out. John was a visionary. But then that's like, just my opinion, man.

  • @hamlicker - The Beatles had a "profound effect" on

my life (John Lennon and Paul McCartney). Not George

Harrison or Ringo Starr. I do not deny George his fame

or fortune, only his relative importance within the band.

That is to say, John and Paul were the SHIP. George and

    Ringo were the BARNACLES.

  • @Drichansa- I was mocking George's belief in Karma.

He claimed he believed in it. He would lecture others on

the matter of Karma and presumably, many of his fans

bought in on the silliness too. Now we find George being

viciously stabbed by an intruder. Then he dies of one of

one of the worst cancers possible. Do his fans openly

wonder what George must've done to deserve this '

"Karma"? Absolutely NOT! This means that they never

believed it, or they're embarrassed to mention it.

  • @TwoUselessLegs What makes you think I believe it? You said that he was stabbed and got cancer because (you claim) he plagiarized somebody's music. Some would say that's the silly superstition right there - and so it is, but karma is the wrong word for it.

  • @Drichansa - Um....if he lived in the past, then...his

George Harrison life was "the future" life. Can you hear

how silly you sound? Really, just stop and think of the

stupidity that you people believe in. Then, the way you

DON'T mention your silly superstitions don't quite work

    out the way you thought.

  • @TwoUselessLegs Karma affects your future lives, not the one you're currently living.

  • @brandonleewebb you don't know much & purgatory is only what the catholics believe? I think, & for George, yes he might have believed in some beautiful things, But I think George was into some heavy wicked shit. & for your comment on the other, No the world is not a beautiful place anymore. I ain't hating or anything.

  • My goodness, Whitney Houston must've struck a chord. As

opposed to George Harrison who must've struck a PLAGIARIZED

chord! Whitney had Hollywood and music industry greats lined

up for hours waiting to speak at her funeral. What did George

get at his funeral? A very drunk Jeff Lynne got on top of George's

casket and gave an incoherent speech about his career being

"washed up". Then, suddenly, Phil Spector shot and killed his

    girlfriend. Poor George!

  • @bonnyjishop You believe in all those smart capital letters, somebody else believes in different fancy words started with different capital letters. But I believe in love and freedom. There is NOTHING to be taught about those two. You just do it and experience it.
