  • Hey man I'm a 15 year old that was born without a right hand. I have tried so hard to find someone that created some sort of strap but I have not yet. Could you please tell me some tips and did the bar ever fall off? Please vote this to the top comments so this role model can help me out!

  • @mountaindewman007 i started messing around lifting finding the right balance on my nub and after some time i found the right spot, it takes trial and error but you eventually get a groove...and yes i have had the bar slip off with 300lbs on and bruise my ribs but i was sweating and had no spotter, remember to have a spot and talc it helps a lot... lol hope this helps you out a bit

  • Does that hurt your stub (idk what else to call it sorry)

  • @NYk1lla nah only if i go overboard on the weight and i call it my "nub"

  • @NYk1lla too much weight on the bar and i get a slight pain as in all lifting ...i call it my nub

  • This is the pure definition of no excuses.

  • Someone needs to contact a manufacturer to develop a special strap just for you so you can have an even grip on both sides of you. Vote this to the top if you agree.

  • Dude you at least need a spotter -- if that bar lands on your neck (which is very possible), you die. I don't think it's worth it.

There's been quite a few documented cases of people dying from the bench press. In those cases, they almost always involved using suicide grip (or not hooking thumb around bar) or putting on collars when benching alone, and not being able to tip the weight. In your case, it just has to slip...

  • @MrJmb2 Nice positive attitude Mr. Personal Trainer....

  • @MrJmb2 What i find hilarious is that you are probably a child who benches around 40kg and 10 of that is the bar, and seems to think he's a personal trainer.

  • @MrJmb2 At least he is trying gee-sh i hope that you were just kidding when you said you "are a personal trainer" cause boy would i be mad as fuck to have you as a trainer. because in no way do you show support so either go back to whatever school you came from and learn some manners dude! because a pretty body like yours might be good and all but newsflash gals are not like guys we prefer manners over rude people.
