  • tell ya what.

3 months ago, i thought it was laughable, the whole aikido thing.

turned up for one lesson to try it out, got pissed at the instructor, went for his head.

flipped me without thinkin' bout it.

    seriously, just flipped me.

moral of the story is, get someone to try it on ya first, then diss em behind a screen name.

p.s. i now do aikido regulary

  • Thank you sir for a great comment as you stated. Yes your right KIDS write bullshit comments that they think they know everything. I have been in the Martial Arts for over 40 years and studied several other arts besides Aikido and I have found that using Aikido with other Martial Arts is more powerful and you have alot more control. Yes you also need some type of ground fighting experience to be well rounded. Sir again I thank you for that comment.

  • poor bold fella!!

  • omg why pound on the poor old man like that.

  • @woolimustv Grabbing the top of the gun and retracting the slide will prevent the gun from firing (revolvers excluded). Many disarms begin this way

  • i feel so sorry for that guy..

  • i uesed to do aikido untill i moved from the area now cant ind a club to get back into it

  • you dont grab the gun at the top he pulls the trigger your hand would be riped to bits

  • Gotta love it, about 1:26 or so, he takes the knife away, takes the time to carefully place it in his pocket, then gets back to the business of punishing the bad guy a little more.

  • @nurichan2 Don't listen to him. Some people tap when their arm is at the point of breaking and your sensei will be responsible for breaking the guys arm through you. Alternatively you will get people tapping before it hurts because they know you wont let go straight away and you'll never know if you got your technique right. You rei to your partner don't you? They rei back? That is a sign of respect and honesty. A symbol to show that you don't intend to hurt each other.

  • @beingme500

I have been taking Aikido for a couple of semesters at my local community college, I wouldn't even consider myself a novice so don't quote me on this. My instructor tells us not to immediately release someone when they tape out, so that they can gain the benefit of the stretch. The point is to make them more flexible so that eventually the techniques will not hurt them.

  • that poor bald guy lol
