TP-wise the ideal order before the ongoing series would be; 1. Infiltration 2. Stormbringer 3. Spotlight Vol.1 4. Escalation 5. Spotlight Vol 2 6. Devastation 7. Spotlight Vol.3 8. Spotlight Vol.4: Revelation 9. Maximum Dinobots 10. All Hail Megatron Vol. 3 aka Spotlght Vol.5 11. All Hail Megatron Vol.1 & 2 12. All Hail Megatron Vol.4 aka Coda You can fit Megaton Origin in any reading order you see fit.

I hate Continuum just for it's lack in important story plots i.e
1. Sixshot and the Reapers.
2. Hot Rod, Doubledealer, and the Magnificence.
3. Soundwave vs. Bludgeon, 1984.
4. Kup on acid.
5. Nightbeat and Gorlam Prime.
6. Optimus Prime and Omega Supreme vs. Monstructor.
etc.
It makes you wonder.

about "no records of optimus becoming prime" is true, it just means they haven't shown it in the comic yet.

No. It's because Continuum is a mess of continuity.
Andy Schmidt's response to the negative fanbase feedback is "Oh, it wasn't meant for you guys anyhow - it's meant for new readers." Saying that is like omitting Mussolini and the fact that Italy was fighting on the Axis side against it's will in the final stages of the war from history books.

Good Job dude , Continuum was such a mess just like AHM. It's sad that IDW is crapping and destroying this complex and detail world Furman created by simplify or retconing stuff so new reader don't need to know everything. The editor need to get the boot for not doing their job

Honestly, I didn't mind AHM. There was a lot that wasn't well-handled, but there were moments that did work.
I'm actually very intrigued by what Mike Costa is planning - apparently he's already writing issue 15 or something like that. Going off the recent interview on the IDW boards, he knows his stuff and is in for the long haul (which we need, honestly).
It's Andy Schmidt I don't like. Note he came from a BIG comic company to IDW. That says a lot right there - it's like a step down.
