Built with firefighters in mind, the Gerber Hinderer is a knife loaded with features. The blade on this Gerber knife is made of thick, fully serrated stainless steel and is operated by a liner lock release. On the other end is a window punch and a lanyard ring. On the back of the knife is an integrated seat belt / clothing cutter that folds out of the way when not in use. In the middle of the knife there is a built in slot that allows the knife to operate as an oxygen tank wrench. A ballistic nylon sheath is included that holds the knife and the 9 piece tool kit.

  • any EMT's like this? im not sure if i would be able to getseat belt cutter out while wearing gloves (thick anti-glass gloves)

  • ehh that hook looks pretty useless being where it is on the knife you cant really get at much

  • im a firefighter and this knife is the best for everything highly recemond buying it

  • @denns25 rick hinderer is one of the most well known rescure knife makers in the world :)

  • holy shit I like this knife, to bad I'm not a big fan of serrated knives. MAYBE I SHOULD BRANCH OUT!!!

  • @KRN762 they have a plain blade but no auto

  • just got one, best knife ever invented if youre a firefighter.

  • IS IT SPRING ASSISTED

  • If Gerber made this in an Automatic and a plain blade (or a partial plain)

this would be the ultimate knife.

  • I don't like any detatchable bits on folding knives or multi-tools. The new post-2004 Leathermans are notorious for this. Too many pieces to get lost and you'll never have them when you need them. Just more stuff to have to carry and worry about losing. I like the older pre-2004 Leathermans. Some Gerber multi-tools include bits, but you can still use the tool without the detachable bits on those Gerbers.
