i saw AUM(OM) live and loved this song and "You Can't Hide", they were a solid group, good example of fine groups that get missed. But i must state , one of the most influential albums of this period was Vanilla Fudge. Deep Purple freely admits at beginning they were blown away by the Fudge. Just from an historical view, you can hear AUM were majorly influenced by Fudge on this song and they did the Fudge harmonizing extremely well. This and Fudge "People Get Ready" play them back to back-wow!

Aaaah.... I can finally worship at my AUM church again. As a young psychonaut I think this song said to me...hey, God can rock n roll too! The harmonic choir-like parts stood out from the hard rocking of AUM and most other rock bands of the time. And the faster parts just screamed San Francisco!
