Initium-Samhain

Initium is the 1984 debut album of Samhain, released on lead singer Glenn Danzig's independent record label, Plan 9. In various interviews Danzig states that the album's title, which translates from Latin to English as "beginning", represents his new start after disbanding his prior band, The Misfits, in 1983. Most of the final track, "Archangel", was actually recorded in March 1981, and was originally meant to be a Misfits song. The track Horror Biz likewise dates to Danzig's Misfits era, as it is a new version of "Horror Business" with different musical arrangements.

Samhain will smash the misfits in half. Samhain talks more about halloween and what it really is than the misfits.Plus samhain is more darker and heavier.

Danzig takes time to get used to after only listening to the Misfits. Circle of Snakes is one of the best Metal albums on the 2000's. Totally solid. Who else is doing anything good?

no doubt yo, it fuckin sucks that so many bands from back then fuckin sold out or just fuckin suck now. besides danzig tho as for as the metal seen is concerned there is still phill anselmo with down & super joint ritual & fuckin slayer still b making noise . they still b keepin it real. but a fuckin band like samhain, there will never b another one that fuckin original. danzig's finest hour if u ask me.
