Rural Remote Education - The Current State

A video I made for a subject at JCU ED1401. Was created in under 2.5 hours. Not bad if you ask me.. Although, I made it. Heaps of internet statistics about rural education in the busy. More information check out the video for it.

Rural and remote students comprising one third of all school pupils. Only 17% of that proportion attend tertiary education.

Over half of all state schools in Queensland are located in rural and remote areas. Approximately 121, 520 students are enrolled in these schools. This accounts for 24.8% of the total student population. (DETA, 2008)

The figures in rural education are continuing to grow unless a good framework is selected and taught. Pedagogy.
