how come fantasy movies cant be made like this today? everything is pretentious and fake today.

@burtonrules123 The 80s was the era of great fantasy adventures: Legend, the Dark Crystal, Willow, Labyrinth, the Goonies, Clash of the Titans, Never-Ending Story, Masters of the Universe, the Princess Bride... and that's just off the top of my head. They just don't make 'em like they used to.

@MrYendor65 yes indeed, i agree

I hated the directors cut, all of Tangerene Dream was scaraped in it, and in my oppinion that brought life to the movie!

Me too, Jon Anderson and Tangerene Dream Gel very well together!

@ninoturtle, I used to be afraid of him too, until I realized that it's the same guy (Tim Curry) who plays the mean bell-hop on Home Alone 2: Lost in New York! :D :D

@HotaruMimiuchi I've always been a fan of YES, so getting to hear him singing in such a lovely movie made it even that much more wonderful for me.

I have to say that while I do really love this ending and there is way more romance in this version of the movie, I like the Director's Cut better....I've loved this version for so long that I wondered how it could be different in the original cut, which I turned out liking better. Although this score is wonderful, I really wish they could have kept in more of the original score. Not having this song in the movie was a big disappointment. I love Jon Anderson's vocals on this song.

Just saw this movie again after a long time, and what a lovely surprise it was. I loved this Jon Anderson song at the end.
This movie stayed with me since childhood. I don't give remakes too much thought, but, I always wonder.....
