Driver is a Los Angeles wheelman for hire, stunt driving for movie productions by day and steering getaway vehicles for armed heists by night. Though a loner by nature, Driver can't help falling in love with his beautiful neighbor Irene, a vulnerable young mother dragged into a dangerous underworld by the return of her ex-convict husband Standard. After a heist intended to pay off Standard's protection money spins unpredictably out of control, Driver finds himself driving defense for the girl he loves, tailgated by a syndicate of deadly serious criminals. But when he realizes that the gangsters are after more than the bag of cash in his trunk - that they're coming straight for Irene and her son - Driver is forced to shift gears and go on offense.

Who are you to tell us our taste of movies aren't good? Just generalize one a couple of comments that have every right to voice there opinion? Some people will like it some will not, go cry about it if all of your criteria for everyone to love a movie that you love. Hollywood is growing and expanding it can never change a way a true film lover views it. Now please shut up and watch this impeccable trailer.

@moorevayne I heard that the silentness represents the Driver. You know, he's keeping his head coll and all. Didn't think the movie sucked, but the trailer is pretty misleading, agreed on that.

Goddammit, all of you have no sense of what a good movie really is. The acting is awesome, action is brutal, soundtrack is excellent and BTW it's not a fucking action flick. It's a drama movie.
Hollywood has bastardized the way we look at movies. Sad sad..
