  • Moving on .. to REAL problems .. 48 women are being raped every hour in Congo, America's bonds have been dropped to a rating of of AA and people in India, Afraica and China etc are still starving. And shark carcasses are still being thrown into the water with only 5% of the meat being used. Now this here is a dilemma.

Be grateful this entire fish is being consumed, you may dislike the method, but it's not being wasted. An animal cannot be compared to a human. Remember that.

  • Some of you guys need to grow up. Sashimi is part of the Japanese culture. I tried it and its pretty tasty. Your not eating the moving fish, but its meat and by still showing the fish its still moving shows that its really fresh. Some of you guys are disgusted because your so used to the American culture you probably never ate anything except mcdonalds or taco bell..

  • @xx0124xx Exactly

  • I undestarnd it and I don't complain. But it makes me sad. If it have to be cut in slices just kill it quickly so it doesn't feel pain.

  • @Scelous bloody atheist,... saying that we are all animals. stupid.

  • From what I have read, the fish is probably dead and the twitching is posthumous neural activity, the nerves shutting down, stored energy in the muscles being released by electrical charges, etc. Either way, it's their culture and their food so I say leave them be. I would like to try it once as I love sushi, too.

  • @Scelous Yep thats exactly how it works its called "survival of the fittest". I'm sure u are familiar with it.

  • @minimoongurll An animal CAN be compared to a human, since, you know, humans are animals. But whatever; we're the dominant species, so we're all that matters and we can do whatever we want, right?

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE SASHIMI AND SUSHI, but I'm sorry looking at a moving fish in that state I can't help but ask if the fish is in terror or pain.

This is cruel. At least cut the head off and let it quickly die. Ugh

  • @GrapeIyce you're sure? looks like the spinal cord and brain are left intact which would mean... pain
