Brenda Hartill, with the help of her printer Nicola Jackson, shows how to ink up a Collagraph plate, from the Primeval Land series. This work was constructed using plant material, plaster, glue, and carborundum, and Brenda's special method of inking "the rubs"is shown.

  • Hi SailorDoc,

Thanks again for your interest. The glue is waterproof PVA - in he States I guess Elmers might work, but not sure if that is waterproof? Waterproof wood glue should work - I'd be interested to know if you have such a material in the US so I can pass on the info,

    best wishes,

    Brenda

  • Thanks Sailordoc - good to get feedback! Brenda

  • Brenda again I really love these demos. I am the guy from North Carolina, USA, with the bad back. We have communicated in the past. Looking forward to your new DVD. I have a question if you please. The binder or white pasty looking stuff that you use to adhere the plant material, what is it?? I have your book and if I recall you use a variety of things, such as PVC, mat medium and so on. Just curious. Thank you and keep these coming, I have saved them in "MY Favorites".

  • Thank you Brenda for these wonderful demos on how one would use your process. I have your book but nothing like seeing the real thing in action. Also great job Nicola!
