Got this album when I was 8 years old. This song has always mystified me or better said hypnotized my consciousness. Still an amazing piece of music!!!

BTW - The film looks like was a remember seeing around the time that I got the album too. Magical Mystery Tour was being made that same year though released in the US in 1968

I love the story behind this song, from John flipping through a newspaper picking stories and making them his lyrics to paul having his thing and the two of them wanting to make it like a small operetta. Love how they kept the alarm clock in it since George Martin said it was originially used to mark the space in between. Then after they added all the horns, kept it because it sounded cool.Great tune. One of their songs where you can really hear the feeling behind their voices.especially John.
