@bomac10000 So when did it happen which the prophet spoke of!
-
@Donking595 What has this scripture to do with Jesus Christ and God the Father being two different people? This is the voice of the Prophet, not God.
-
@bomac10000 This is what the bible says.
John 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
John 5:38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
The word was concerning the persons he was talking to at that time!

@bomac10000 When did this happen? Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

@Donking595 Actually the voice of God in the Old Testament is Jesus Christ, speaking as Jehovah. As Christ testified in JOHN 5:37 "And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form.
Doc, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost are One, but "oneness" is an attribute, not a state of being.

@THELDSLIFE What are you talking about?

@bomac10000 When did this happen? Remember the father is saying this! Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for [his] only [son], and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for [his] firstborn.

@stonebrownalien When in doubt, go a different direction. What has John 3:16 got to do with what was being discussed? Nothing, as you well know.
Fact is, what I said makes perfect sense, unless you don't have an answer and need to change the subject. Wouldn't want to admit to God being 3 actual persons after all..then you might have some questions for your Pastor that he couldn't answer so easily.
There is a difference between Mormonism and being a Mormon. Mormonism is a few of the LDS beliefs twisted around and taken to a new level. Being Mormon, or LDS, is different. We believe that Christ is the Son of our Heavenly Father, that He gave His only Son for our sins. We are baptizedin His name and make and keep sacred covenants. We keep pur eyes on the Telmple marriage and pure love.

@SuperLDSGirl - I agree with you 100% !!! Mormonism, as best described by Anti-Mormons, is a "Religion Unto Itself"
The coy declarations that we believe "This or That" is only held by those who walk in the "Circles of Contention" where points of doctrine are examined and distorted.
One thing is certain. I can go to church for 7 years straight and NEVER EVER EEEEEEEEEEEVER be taught what the intellectuals say is our doctrine. Whether opinions or past church leaders the Canon is our doctrine...

@THELDSLIFE I do understand. I must say I don't think XBOX is the major distraction and While the Internet is a wonderful source of information... it is also a source for deception as well. I think there are many major distractions in addition to becoming a me me me society without moral compass for life. At a time, every action was with a thought of God approval... nowawdays... Go to church for an hour and then all rules out the door for the majority, except for the ocassional remembrance.

@di4homes - As men begin to come to the realization that God is literally a Father in Heaven, then knowing what it's like to have the approval of our own Earthly Parents takes on a different meaning. I believe we existed before we came, we are here for a reason, and a destiny that awaits us for after we die.
