No man can kill a lion (I assume you mean without a gun,) the Masi of East Africa once did it to prove their manhood, what I would really like to know if anyone has ever seen the cut out scene of the giant bats in the cave, that was removed by censors at the end of the film, the Devil Bat scene as it is known?
