h,love,agility,passion and everything else! you see the 'cowgirls' on here whiping their horses with the reins or booting them with their legs,i just want to scream at you all for dissing us! we arent 'cowgirls' we are equinegirls! -
I know this is kinda late but i have done both english, dressage, and now barrel racing. And none of the sports i have done have took as much hard work and heart it takes to be a barrel racer! And i hate how these english riders think they are soo badass because you ride english well bitch your not all that. Enlgish takes skill but when You have a 900 pound horse going full force running there heart out. when you can ride your enlgish horse like then start talkig you stuck up bitch! Thanks(:

@equinizeyourlife Same concept... lots of patience, time, and no overpowering on either end. You and your horse have to learn TOGETHER. Learn the pivot points and the basics of the sport, and go from there. Start by leading him around them, then walk, then trot, then canter, then go at it full speed (take your TIME). The saddle won't gut you, but you will fall... so will your horse. It's all part of the game. Good luck!

@LaLaVo1 Oh yeah and lets not talk about just sitting there, okay? sweetie....
-
@maspringob Lack of balance because you hurt them. once again yes i have. talk about just sitting there. bitch
-
@LaLaVo1 Ha, this is funny you motherfucking asshole. I ride horses from germany not lame quaterhorses that no one wants, you sound like the bitch here, sweetie. we ride our horses so that they feel good, not to win and yeah i have done it in a jumping saddle, its called sharp turns in jumpers. I am not mean to my animals, and i bet you are . so shut the Fuck up and stop responded to post from a year ago, Back yard hillbillie bitch!

@ssdrake11 ha, its funny cause your an ass. not all barrel racers use the HORN (not a handle, sweetie) I'd like to see you get a good time in your "Jumping Saddle" going through that pattern. what you do the horse does the work for you, all you have to do is sit, you sound like a snobby bitch. hope you find a life soon, because you can't cut down barrel racers you're whole life. And its Bottom, Not bottum. gee for such a great English rider you think you'd at least know how to speak English. . .

I love this. I'm a hunter/jumper & my trainer also teaches western at another barn. We managed to convince her to let us try it one day.In English saddles. We replaced the barrels w/jump wings. When the owner of my barn came by my trainer said she was just having us work on circles & lead changes(some simple,some flying)...it was awesome. We only did it at a canter a few times and that was difficult(the fact that I was on a greenie probably didn't help), so I can't imagine galloping around them.

haha, excellent! I'm a hunter rider, and I'm sooo scared to do this. XD Western saddles intimidate me, it's just toooo much leather and the horn looks like something that will gut me. O_O But I'm not hating, I'm actually just saying that I'm impressed! I want to teach this one barrel-bred QH mare to barrel race, but I have NO idea how to do it. However, I'm an excellent english rider and I've trained a few horses to jump. Any tips? Btw, Hunter riders: don't hate! barrels are amazing!!

@ssdrake11
Have you tried to run barrels in your jumping saddle? If you haven't, you really don't have the right to make all of these biased comments about barrel racers. You also need to take into account the speed these horses are going and how sharp the turns are. Sometimes a lack of communication causes a rider to fall off, it's not always because of a lack of balance.
