And your playing into stupid people's imaginations. It is more simpler to say that you don't believe somebody else vague interpretation of ancient culture. The mayan calendar has nothing to do with the end of the world, it simply just ends on one of their "years", of which course they aren't still here to make another one.

@Shikusei how do you know that's what's gonna happen?

What I love is how they honestly believe humanity will still be around by the end of our galaxy.
I personally believe then in less then 100 years we will either nuke ourselves to extinction or depending on your religion judgment day will happen.

lol simple in 10till years there are like countless eras that the universe goes through b4 collapsing on itself. so far the only era i think i remember the Milky way will also go through is a phase called the Degenerate era and thats when everything compleatly dies from stars, planets even those dying stars that currently get replaced with new stars and eventualy u all know we also have yet the big collision between our galaxy and its closest neighbour Andromeda to go trough aswell :).

well the man said it.. enjoy our last brief moments of our sun T_T
Nice video here, I know alot of these concepts but this video visualizes it. To add to the end of it, I say the end is not the end, for everything happens in cycles and what we seen here is part of a larger cycle. Where does the material of the blackholes go when it evaporates? There may be trillions of darkness but I suspect what is left will eventually all collide and initiate a new big bang. I have many other speculations but that one is the easiest to swallow.
