Original contemporary folk-pop; introspective (in italiano a fondo pagina) and autobiographical lyrics, interlaced with magical harmonies and excellent musicianship. Ariella Uliano writes in English and Italian. Her albums are connected by theme or imagery and inspired by the works of Byron, Yeats, Shakespeare, Dante Alighieri, the French chansonniers and the traditional English and Irish ballad singers.
She defies genre but her melodies and arrangements are strongly influenced by Renaissance and Baroque music and dance, with elements of country, rag-time/jazz and slow rock. Not often on tour in England, Ariella spends most of her time researching, teaching and performing her music abroad.

Il Profumo dell'Amore features images by Renzo Frontoni and music by Ariella Uliano from 2011, capturing moments from daily life, trips and shows in Munich, Kassel, Milano, Rome, London, the Italian East Coast and France. The slideshow offers the chance to hear a unique version of the Scottish ballad The Three Ravens, the new Italian single Il Profumo dell'Amore and for the first time the (unpublished) love ballad Ricordi.
