Jacqueline Marie "Jackie" Evancho pronounced (ɛ:van:kʰo) (born April 9, 2000) is a young soprano from Richland Township, a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who gained popularity after a performance for America's Got Talent. Evancho sings in the "classical crossover" style of singers such as Hayley Westenra and Sarah Brightman. She studies singing with a voice coach, and also plays the violin and piano. wowzers...I don't watch this TV show, never heard of Jackie before, and a friend just posted a link to one of her performances. How such a mature voice comes from such a small package I'll never know, but she is AWESOME!!!

Not that it matters a great deal, if at all, but the first soprano to sing Nessun Dorma was actually the remarkable crossover lyric soprano Deanna Durbin, in a film she made in 1943, 'His Butler`s Sister' - it has subsequently been released on cd. Deanna sings it, superbly, in an English version that in spirit at least, is very close to the original Italian lyrics.The clip is available here on YT, & is well worth looking at.

She is freakin' incredible ! Brought tears to my eyes and I'm still wiping them away to type. She gets me all choked up everytime I hear her incredible voice. I hope she lives forever and makes so much music in her lifetime that we will never run out. Talent and beauty combined with a sweet disposition. May stardom never ruin her attitude.

Hope she doesn't end up like alot of young performers.dead of a over dose.Hope she gets high enough on life and not rely on alchol and drugs.May she have a very long life and carreer.
