Yon is an embed journalist, former special forces and has written several books - Moment of Truth in Iraq was just published and is quite good. He writes with candor about the Iraq war, sometimes critical, but also with fondness for the people fighting it.

I was there also, the audio came from the captured audio that they were filming to use. Quite a few people had access to it and shared it with their buddies.

I was in this platoon and I have no clue who Michal Yon is. I am curious how he got the video. We limited who got it, and never included audio. So if someone could tell me who this guy is I'd like to ask, purely out of curiosity
