Hey, hey! Relax over there! There's something people should know. First of all, there is no such thing as Cookie Monster turning into the so-called "veggie monster". That is simply an urban myth. Secondly, this was filmed in 1987, so Jim Henson was still alive at that time. Thirdly, Cookie Monster still eats cookies, and healthy food, too, I'm sure. There's a Season 40 episode called "The Cookie Tree", and it has cookies in it.

I've pretty much explained everything here now.
