haha my truck being loud saved my life some one pulled up next to me and said if they didnt hear me comeing they were gonna blow the stop sign. so loud pipes/exhaust leaks save lives haha my truck doesnt have air bags so i woulda died

Car engines universally sound terrible. The only exception is pushrod v8s, and even those are annoying as hell.

Ok im a supra man and a volkswagen bug man, I love them both, they both rule, i own a 65 type 1 myself, i got some really loud sound outta it by taking off the stock tweeter pipes. What engine you running in it? Ive got the 1635 CC, my friends were swearing up and down that it sounded like a baby v-8

a 65? great! mine is not that old, it`s a 83 though it looks older. It has a stock 1200 engine, but I removed the pre-warming at the air-intake and I put in the rocker arms of the 1600 engine. And for the sound: Monza Pipes. I´m working on a 1600 enginge, but it`s not ready yet. I hope I can build it up by next spring.
Once I heard some people walking on the street and talking about my bug: Look, a bug with a Porsche engine ;-)

No, they distract people and cause accidents. I've personally seen people crash cars because they turned round to look for the sound of a Harley-Davidson.

Hey Richie! Relax! I´ve personally seen many people and little kids beeing happy and smiling because they saw a nice old loud car. Much more important than some dumbass idiots who can´t drive and better should stay at home!!

I meant they crashed because they looked to find where the sound was coming from.
Also, loud pipes are annoying as fuck. I don't want to hear that shit, especially when you go out at night and i've got work the next day. That's not saving lives, that's pissing people off.
