I've just spawned some Zebra Danios, and managed this video of the eggs. In this video, the eggs are approximately a day and a half old. Any questions about breeding can be left in the comments, and I'll do my best to reply. You can expect several more videos from me as the eggs hatch and grow up.

ALSO: I plan to make fish care videos, such as tutorial videos on Danio breeding, as well as breeding other species. This is my first video and first batch of eggs, so next time I'll film everything from conditioning, breeding, egg care, and fry growth.

  • @theshowoflife1 If you want a maximum result, you have to separate eggs (by moving all fish to other tank). Otherwis, all fish will eat the eggs, only a few will fall between plants and survive, but when the little fish start to swim, other fish will eat them as well, so normally your result is zero.zero withoud total separation.

  • in general :* couple in tank * lower pH if you can (f.e.turf) + lower temperature 2 degrees (= simulation of the rain period = stimulation of the breeding period in nature). * couple will - hopefully - breed (if you are lucky the next day) * take fish out when eggs are there * make good waterconditions (I think in this case neutral pH, enough oxygen, enough waterchanges * maybe - i'm not sure - blue stuff (waterconditioner) can help as well * feed variated after haching

  • is way to stop the parent from eating the fry

  • After they lay their eggs, do the eggs stick on the side of the tank?

  • How long does it take for the eggs to hatch?

  • cool vid i didnt know they layed eggs

  • i have 8 glofish i 1 tank males and females will they breed or not???

  • @theshowoflife1 you need a breeding tnak because the fish will eat there own eggs, so one you see that the female dosnt have her eggs any more take the male and femal out of the tank. They should take about 10 days to hatch. (: hope i helped

  • thats wat the eggs look like
