On May 25th, 2011, three courageous Ecuadoreans -- Carmen Zambrano, Servio Curipoma, and Humberto Piaguaje (a leader of the Secoya tribe in Ecuador's Amazon rainforest) -- traveled to San Ramon, CA to take their calls for justice directly to Chevron at its annual shareholder meeting. Upon exiting the meeting, their anger and frustration is palpable, but so is their resolve to see Chevron brought to justice.

  • Chevron doesn't want us to know about the people whose lives and livelihoods have been destroyed by its oil pollution in the Ecuadorean Amazon. Servio Curipoma’s mother, father, and sister died from Chevron’s oil pollution. Don’t let the oil giant erase Servio and his family from history.

  • The story of Servio is heartbreaking....

The criminal activities towards animals, nature and humans is the reason why i'm boycotting oil companies.

    I don 't have a car , and no fat ass ;) because i own a bike !

  • lets stand together, people shouldnt be afriad of their governments, they should be afriad of their people, that stands for corporate giants and paid off judges.

  • I'm ready for the future of renewable energy and fuel sources! I'd loved to see Hemp Bio-mass fuel.

  • That poor man was so emotional, I almost cried. Great video. Hope it makes a difference!!! Good luck.

  • Environmental racism is the term used to describe exploitation of local coloured populations inm wqys that would not be tolerated in the States. I refer to production processes that result in rampant rates of cancer, birth defects, respiratory diseases; in short, radically shortened lifespans.

Chevron are clearly guilty of such practices in Ecuador. At present they are advertising on TV how much money they are committing to research.

    Ginger, I suggest you kick-start a petition.

  • Yes, this video is well done and shows involvement, but as a bystander who just saw this I don't see any of the polluting to know what and how bad it really is. Even a few shots of the actual problem would help the cause. I'm sure what the companies have done is horrible, but you've got to sell that and convince everyone to help the cause.

Just my humble opinion and I wish all the best to everyone involved.

  • Ugh. I live in a small town and the only two gas stations are Chevron and Texaco!

  • I think we need a petition, too!

  • We must all come together for the greater good of all~We are the masses not The corrupt businesses & Fat cats~*
