Journalist and author Glenn Greenwald argues that media coverage of Occupy Wall Street has ranged mostly from critical to non-existent, thanks to mainstream media journalists who are now part of the elite class the movement is protesting. Speaking of former New York Times editor Bill Keller and CNN journalist Erin Burnett, Greenwald asks, "Why is the son of the CEO of Chevron and the fiancé of the second highest ranking executive at Citigroup scornful of Wall Street protesters? It's because this is who our media class is, they are integrated fully into the political class."

@LittleDesertFlower78 Well I have sought alternative means of listening to OWS explain themselves even right here on You Tube. I have no love of the MSM, but it's not an accident that the "movement" can't really agree amongst themselves what they're about. They can form committees until doomsday, but I tend to think you can't get two OWS members to agree on anything. You can feel free to search "Who is to blame" and watch Ron Paul purists debate leftists and wonder why they got together.

I live in BayArea, friends involved in Oakland, Davis, & NY Occupy movments (among othrs).. NO1 I know can afford 2 take month off work, nor have they. (Haven't evn HEARD of such a thing!)

@GOPsithlord You are correct.. Thankfully the Occupy crowd IS coherent, & have been since day one. (I was curious about what it was all about.. So I looked online at their website, & bingo, there it was - a clear statement about their feeling & grievences, both basic synopsis style & broken down into detail.

I dont understand why so many people keep saying that?? Could it be that they are jst parroting what they heard on the news?? (If so then the prob IS w/ mainstream media, & their accuracy.)
