Lucy needs to earn some extra money and lands a weekend job as Milton Berle's secretary. Berle has begun directing and is having actress Ruta lee, who plays herself, over to discuss a script. Lucy leaps to conclusions when when Berle and Lee are reading lines and the situation gets a little messy for Berle.

It was a silly gag but a great one. Just the right sort for Berle.

One of the funniest Lucy shows in the post-Vivian Vance era. Both Berle's wife and especially Ruta Lee can't keep a straight face as the salad dressing keeps coming down Berle's face in glops. Lucy eventually can't help but crack a smile too.

Milton Berle really milked this silly gag for all its worth.
