Yesterday I joined the every enlarging ranks of the unemployed in America - My response to "Bloody Thursday"?

The L-rd giveth and the L-rd taketh away - BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE L-RD!

And I praise G-d for the opportunity to trust HIM more!

The company my Husband works for laid off people on Thursday too...I think 7%, not sure, but over 150 people lost their jobs. When he told me he might get laid off...I had that peace too. He kept his job, thank G-d. Praise G-d for your testimony. I will pray for you dear one. You are a good, G-dly man. (((hugs)))

I appreciated your perspective. I lost my position as an associate pastor after 10 years, due to financial reasons. It was, and continues to be a very difficult road. There are many tough days. This iswhy I wrote the book, "Finding the Jewel in Job Loss: Walking by Faith in Job Loss". In it are the lessons I learned and desire to share with so many others who are hurting.

@MrTex1987 You see I dont want to serve my country for a nickel or too. But thats what im faced with or my grandparents are out of a house. I work 30 hrs a week with no benifits for walmart there are no fulltime positions in the store its the only work i can find here in HOUSTON tx and THIS is the country I would die for? FUCK. I cant move cuz I dont have a car Im losing money i need to be saving. and I havent a patriotic bone in my body. Maybe the military is where my ass needs to be.

Im 5000 doallars in debt...fucking education. havent got shit to show for it or a fucking excuse in the world that will save me from myself. I cant afford a car or truck used or non running I wont accept a donation I have to pay for and if Jesus is the only way to salvation if this is all the love my spirit can give...then I pray for Him to take it back tonight. Damned shit that is everything and ever was! I could be close to a masters in BS (BullShit) if I hadnt skipped chapel so many times. or I could be in Afghanistan climbing a god damned mountain being watched by some haji bastard with scope...let me start over. I'm so sorry to hear about this. You've got a great attitude about it though. Your confidence in the Lord in the midst of this great trial is a very powerful witness, Pastor George. He will work all things together for good.
