One of the most amazing scores ever written (next to Requiem for a Dream). Listening to this gives me chills. It had such great impact on the atmosphere in the film, it elevated it to the rank of masterpiece.

@77837682 not really, Nosferatu and Shadow of the vampire take the cake, and the hammer movies take the icing. This movie however deserves more credit then it gets, mainly the music, sets and the costumes.

What does the choir chant at 3:02 and further? I know it's in Romanian/Wallachian, but I can't hear the words

@rossabo It's nuts that he wasn't nominated, along with all of the other masters who created the film, but, at least, he did win the 1992 ASCAP Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Producers in Los Angeles for the score.
