Warning: I have found some of my other videos stolen and re-uploaded by video thieves. Their stolen versions contain download links in the description which are fake and may be unsafe to use. Please make sure you don't download files provided by these stolen videos.

A lot of people have complained about their iDevices being "bricked" by getting stuck at the Apple start-up logo and not responding. This is caused by bad modifications which damage system files and prevent the device from being able to boot up properly.

This video will show you how to overcome this and restore your device so that it can be used again.

  • Well this video defiantly helped me but not in the way it says. What your explaining is how to put your device in DFU mode not recovery mode. But i was trying to get it into dfu mode so ty :D

  • @SubShadow123 DFU mode is slightly different; DFU mode does not have the "connect to iTunes" image displayed.

To boot into DFU mode, follow the instructions here, but instead of releasing the sleep button when the screen goes dark, wait 3 more seconds after the screen goes dark before releasing it.

  • or boot through redsn0w and keep everything........

  • @TedT100 That would be a tethered boot. Sometimes, a tweak will go wrong that even a tethered boot can't fix. I've had this problem a lot, and my iPhone just stays at the pineapple icon after the tethered boot.

  • so we wasted 45 seconds being told that this tutorial belongs to @Kakarikosheikah we learned absolutely nothing. so please fuck off copyers. I don't blame kakarikosheikah

  • @tdcnl Actually I might remove that intro and use a watermark instead for future videos. It's annoying, because the copiers all removed the original links I had and replaced them with links to fake download sites that just spammed you with surveys.

  • thanks alot man, my iphone didnt work for like 2 weeks. what a hell

  • @Kakarikosheikah Just did it successfully on a iPhone 4 5.0.1 untethered, it remained untethered and booted properly, I would at least try it before restoring.

  • thnx man for this video :)
