  • Let's face it -- English is a crazy language. There is no egg in eggplant nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins weren't invented in England or French fries in France Sweetmeats are candies while sweetbreads, which aren't sweet, are meat. boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.

  • My dream job would be helping to save endangered languages. I commend the men in this video for their work. English is killing the languages of our world.

  • @GriffenJC it is not your fault man. God bless you for loving us :) we love you back

  • I just wanna apologize for what my native language has done to to the rest of the world. I love foreign language and hate to see any outside language influencing them and making them lose their dialect. I am currently learning German and French.

  • Great job!! Some 7000 languages are spoken around the world today. Studies show that one language disappears every two weeks. Language is not simply a set of words that are used for people to communicate. A language is the full expression of a group’s social identity. It is the vehicle by which human beings express their thoughts, myths and values. When an ancient tongue disappears, elders carry to their grave part of humanity’s culture and knowledge. Ethnonomad

  • @niamtxiv My anthropology class is reading a book about Hmong culture this year. :) The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down by Anne Fadiman. It's very interesting, and I do hope the Hmong language and culture perseveres as well. Best of wishes to you.
