Hey! Cute turtle! I am interested in buying a turtle as a pet and was wondering of this breed of turtle is a good one for a starter? I don't have a lot of room for a big turtle so how big will they get? Also, how much do they cost for it? Las but no least, how often do they come out of the water? Thanks. :D

@TheL33tVideoGamer Yes I think they are great for a starter, they are my first turtles too! I chose them specifically because they only grow as big as your outstretched palm, so if you have a big tank they can live their whole lives in it. I bought a pair for $120 each, a bit more expensive than others but they are special because they stay small. Mine are about a year old and they don't come out of the water much, they stick their head out a lot, I suspect they sunbake when I am away.
