  • Great idea! Keep the tips coming!

  • We all love the firesteel and it is probably irreplaceable in my pack. Great tip with the jute twine. I thought also if you braid enough twine into it you can save one piece of string to re-tie the igniter to the firesteel, using the rest for tinder in a survival scenario. This is a good way to put the spark and the tinder together.

  • Good point about this being a flash tinder. You'd have to work quick if this was the only tinder available, but doable : ) Great intro from FloridaAdventures

    Thanks Buddy

  • Like the multi-purpose uses of this great one!

  • Burn time?

  • How about nails polish removal? Would that help make it more waterproof and make it morel

  • So simple i feel a shame i didn't think of it myself lol awesome

  • Great tip! To keep the jute dry I wonder if you could run the twine through a small plastic hose. Something like aquarium tubing. Or dog tag chain silencer. Then seal it together with heat. Just an idea maybe?

  • Great Job bro!! Nice tip! Jute twine is a great asset.... Thanks John!!

  • Great idea, thanks
