I got the housing on eBay from an American seller for $22, which is about $6 more than what Hong Kong sellers would charge for the same exact product. It is also available on DealExtreme. I wanted it fast so I paid the extra money. I installed it myself. If you wish to do this to yours, be sure to have a good precision screw driver, or you will likely strip the screws. I used a #00 Phillips with a plastic rubberized grip. I used the original white buttons from my Darth Vader Ceramic Slim, except for the volume bar which I used from the kit. I liked the feel of the original buttons over the replacements that were included.
By the way, I flashed a custom wave background to it, as well as a different XMB, battery indicator icon, and XMB loading icon.
HERE ARE HELPFUL LINKS IF YOU WANT TO DO IT TO YOURS:
Check these three tutorials out. The vid shows how to remove the UMD door (this one helped me when I did mine). The other two have pictures an instructions on the PSP 2000 disassembly.

@Capi91Que It was about two years ago that I bought it, so I doubt the guy is still selling them. Just search on eBay and set the search filter so that it only shows US based sellers and you'll hopefully find some sellers.

I love the XMB waves. Link to download?

@TheKnightsofwar210 Thanks. I got it from a collection of 176 XMB Waves. Search on google for "176 XMB Waves" and you'll find places to download the pack. It's the "aquadark" theme in the pack.
