Iran should free all three spies immediately, on humanitarian grounds!
US politicians do not jail foreign nationals who are caught spying, they hire them.

@ucanifuwant Iraqi Kurdistan is not the same as the whole country of Iraq – it's quite different, and a separate area. It's actually a growing tourist area, and a very beautiful one with amazing, peaceful people. I myself am traveling to IK in January to shoot a documentary. Of course, I'm staying out of the mountains... :) But seriously, IK is not a bad place. It was listed on Nat Geo's top 20 places to travel.

I guess devoting their lives to trashing Israel didn't help them in prison!!!!

if you haven't seen it yet, watch the clip w/Ray McGovern being beaten and dragged out of GWU as Hillary speaks about "freedom of expression and democracy". Then answer this. If you were the Iranian govt., would YOU trust the States?

Thanks, Mr. Chomsky for speaking up on behalf of Bauer and Fattal. I hope they are released soon.
@DorianHouse One of the leading anarchist theoreticians, Peter Kropotkin, is a pioneer of what is called communist anarchism (or libertarian communism/socialism). Anarchosyndicalism is just a more updated form of communist anarchism (read Kropotkin, Anton Pannekoek, Rudolf Rocker). You shouldn't confuse communism with Lenin's concept of a ruling party or avantgarde. Marx would most certainly disagree with Lenin and be disgusted by what was done by stalinist dictators in his name.

Noam pleads to the Iranian Government for justice and due process for the 3 US hikers, in the same way he pleads the US Government for justice and due process for the thousands of people held by the US at Guantanamo without due process, and subjected to psychological trials.
Noam Chomsky is a good man. A hero figure to me, if any there were in todays world. But if these hikers are innocent, it probably hardly matters (to the Iranians). My guess is it is tit for tat.
