A four-foot female torpedo ray washed ashore on a Sandwich Beach in Upper Cape Cod. This 50-pound specimen was the second in two days and the third documented in Cape Cod Bay this fall season.
This could very well be the same type of Ray you saw. I didn't know they lived around here until I saw one in Rhode Island. They're large, and pack a punch if you get too close.
