The McCalmans came to Coal Aston Village Hall, Derbyshire, for their last ever English gig prior to Ian McCamans retirement at Christmas. They performed a superb couple of sets to a highly appreciative capacity audience.
In the audience was ex McCalman Hamish Bayne. The whole event was hugely reminiscent for many of us who had been involved with The Cartwheel Folk Club for many years, Also on the bill were the definitive version of Cartwheel - Nick Gibbons, Tony Wood and Geoff Heppel who supported the Macs along with ourselves, Scuppered.
This song was the last of a great night and written by Ian in celebration of 46 years of The McCalmans. Not a dry eye in the house ! I goy confused with the title, please excuse the error.
