  • Hello, very interested to come accross this, how are you finding video playback? Any flickering at all? Is it smooth i'm not really interested in the 3d so how does it work as a 2d monitor primarily as a video playback device

  • @atheistnowhereman

I still have the monitor and its been great! I really do love the adjustability of the monitor.

I cannot fault it!! playback of videos is also great! if it was not I would have to purchase something else!

  • I am looking around not specifically for a 3d monitor but I do want a 120hz monitor and pretty much all the good 120hz monitors are 3d monitors anyway. You happy with the monitor? Personally I'm use to a 16:10 aspect ratio but I shouldn't have a problem adjusting to a 16:9 ratio I hope. Mainly I like the look of this one because some of the other ones (samsung, asus) have a really annoying looking glossy screen.

  • @Jpear5000

Hi I am still using this Monitor, its been great! the adjustability is fantastic! as you say it does look cool.

Best of luck in whatever you decide, I have Zero complaints with the monitor my end!

  • @mrix2000 one question if I may, does this alienware monitor come with an audio in or out ?! thnx =)

  • @EVILICIOS

Hello, from what I can see it does not come with audio in or out, its not a feature I normally use but I can imagine it would be used by many, I am surprised they have not added such a basic feature to such a quality monitor?

  • Hey I have a question. I bought the $1,200 Alienware X51 desktop and this monitor. And I couldn't get the bluray disk driver put into the computer because they were backed up on that item. But if I would hook up a bluray threw a USB cable or hdmi cable, could I watch 3D movies on my computer. Or must the disk drive be able to read bluray disks.

  • Hey,

Does it come with 3D glasses? Ive got à m17x r3 but i didn't buy à 3D screen with it because it was to much money back then for me. Will my m17x be able to run the 3d on the monitor and do ik need to buy additional 3d glasses. Thanks in advance

    Michael

  • @EVILICIOS You could solve that by getting a turtlebeach or any headset designed to work with a 360/PS3.

  • @mrix2000 haha yeah it is pretty shocking they haven't added a basic feature like an audio input cuz i was planning to buy this monitor to use it for my xbox 360 but I guess its no good to play without sound =( , anyways thanks alot for replying man, great video !

  • you can a create video more on alienware optx monitor .... the desktop action... tnx...

  • @mrix2000 Just ordered this monitor! Should have it in about a week. We we we so excited! Can't afford the glasses though LOL. Will have to wait for those :p.
