It's been kinda crazy how long Nick Fury has been a renegade for. I had no idea he and Daredevil were from the same kitchen. The Parker's stuff to me is kinda, LAME.

 Yeah it was a good tribute. I don't know if you know the show American Dad, but Stan's father Jack who appeared in the episode Jack's Back, kind of reminded me of Fury.

The way I see it, Fury probably felt like taking some time off, found Gabe Jones playing his bugle somewhere, and said "Here, do me a favor will ya? You put on this eyepatch, and pretend to be me for a little while. Don't worry, no one'll ever notice," and then walked off, ignoring the raised eyebrow. He then proceeded to relax and unwind by finding Bull McGiveney and beating the crap out of him.
