In the shade of the Daibutsu (Big Buddha) in Kamakura, my friend and I had rice balls. She didn't know how to open the packs so I decided to show her...but then we realized you might be interested too.

The sound in the background is a temple groundskeeper hammering bamboo stakes to make a fence. You can see the stakes in the background.

ちょっとダメなんですけど、何とかできました。

  • Never had one before...ill have to remember these instructions if one day i eat one. Gotta ask though...are you wearing some sort of costume? Have a great week,

  • @dre3k78 No, not a costume. My friend (the person who says "That is so cool." at the end) brought me a birthday present, which was the red thing I'm wearing here. The lace handwarmers were to keep my hands warm, but it wasn't cold enough for actual gloves...and the lace was more fun. So, not a costume, just me having fun.

    As for onigiri, if you head to the Asian districts of town you can sometimes find the prepackaged ones like this. Thanks for watching!

  • Every time I get onigiri at the Japanese store where I live, I never get it right and end up tearing the nori. It's something that I've just accepted as part of my life.

  • @kantishna39 I usually do fine, but of course I had to mess it up on video. XD

    You could always buy the kind that doesn't have the nori separate...? Then you don't have to worry about the nori tearing, although I prefer crunchy nori myyself.

  • Natsukashii! ^^;;;

  • @glitch232 Did you know you can buy the wrappers? You could make your own onigiri just like conbini!

  • @SupaKirbTV Wow, really? That's an odd coincidence! Well, if it means anything, I made this a couple weeks ago when I was in Kamakura... :-D

  • RandomYoko just should us how to do this in her video today! Your instructions were a little better however... probably because she's just really silly most of the time. Anyways, I follow too many J-Vloggers... lol
