  • Andy is a hero.

  • Not only did I go undiagnosed for over two decades, but when I finally did get recognized, and get a positive bloodtest, doctors uneducated about Lyme disease are trying to tell me I don't have it - they're trying to undiagnose me. I tell them this test is positive, I cite my history, and that I'm not having any of this attempt to deny me the illness I've got. In my mind, I'm demoting them to Mr or Ms until they're willing to properly doctor for Lyme and coinfections.

    Very Interesting! Sugar.

  • Thank you Andy for this film and raising awareness of this terrible disease. The lack of support for this disease is a travesty. I was diagnosed in may and thank God I found a good LLMD to treat me. I hope I am on the road to recovery. I've only been on treatment for a few months so we shall see. Thank you again Andy we appreciate your efforts in bringing this disease to the fore front.

  • I've not had contact with deer at all in my whole life and I don't live in a rural area but I still have Lyme Disease. I went for a walk in a park in 1995 where I was bitten by a tick so I'm sure that's how it started.

  • I am a registered nurse living in Canada who became totally disabled due to Lymes Disease. You will probably never get proper treatment for the disease up here. You might get a single prescription of antibiotics if your lucky.

  • I live w/ chronic LD - excellent documentary. One thing Andy neglects to mention in this interview is that deer ticks are NOT the only carriers. I live nowhere near a forest or deer, yet ticks are in most backyards living in bushes and grass and love leaves that fall to the ground. Please be aware you are not safe if you live in a deer free area.

  • First, a huge thank you to all those involved in making Under Our Skin.

Second, thx to those responding here. I was terribly confused for 25 years. Treatment is an ongoing process.

We need to make calls to two Congressional reps to move the Lyme bills for 100 million funding over five years' time to a hearing. NJ Rep Frank Pallone's ph#: 202-225-4671(HR741). Sen. Kennedy's commitee ph#: 202-225-2927(S1708). It's being held up for political reasons. Tell them your story and anyone else's.
