Over 3,500 years ago, Rome was no more than a soggy marsh and the Acropolis was just an empty rock, but Egypt was on the brink of its greatest age - the New Kingdom. There was an explosion of creativity, wealth and power in Egypt that would make it the envy of the world. After defeating the Hyksos invaders, successive Pharaohs expanded and maintained their Empire through both force and diplomacy. In the process, they won Egypt vast amounts of gold, influence and respect. They included; Ahmose, Hatshepsut, Tuthmosis III, Amenhotep III, Akenhaten, Tutankhamen and Ramesses III. Behind the power of the Egyptian empire lay a vast wealth of natural resources. Chief among these was the river Nile, the freeway of the ancient world, whose floodplains also provided huge expanses of fertile farming ground that kept Egypt self-sufficient and usually famine-free. Along the banks of the Nile, the humble papyrus plant was used to create a bureaucratic efficiency and cultural sophistication previously unknown to mankind

  • Gosh, always people so annoying with the "black" cards. Black people complexion is too obvious, the shape of their nose, forehead, bonecheeks, etc. Egyptians DID know how to depict black people, and if someone was black they would just recreate it with the wide nose, dark burnt siena color for the skin and almost rounded eyes. They had NO issues whatsoever in depicting black people. But this doesnt mean ALL Egypt was black, its obvious most people they depicted WERE NOT black.

  • iF EGYPT WAS IN AMERICA THEY WOULD BE BLACK. WHITE PEOPLE TRIED TO CLAIM THE kENNUICK MAN IN WASHINGTON AS NOT BEING NATIVE AMERICAN. WHAT A BUNCH OF HYPOCRYTICAL TWO TOUNGES . AND BY THE WAY WHAT DO YALL CALL ARABS WHILE YOU SHOOT AT THEM? SAND NICCAS RIGHT? SO LET US AT LEAST HAVE EGYPT . YALL ALREADY GOT THE WHOLE WORLD IN YOUR HANDS STOP HATING AND GIVE US SOME RESPECT FOR OUR PAST.

  • @pseudomonos I agree, he really was history's first monotheist, I admire him for following his faith and his vision.

  • @pseudomonos I agree, he really did change the history of religion, I admire him for following his beliefs.

  • It is always fascinating to see and hear what the 'researcher' finds in the fragments of material and how these are fleshed out in accordance with his or her predilections.
